The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) and FOX Sports 1 have joined forces to present UFC Fight For The Troops, a special three-hour live televised event on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. ET, to raise funds for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund in support of the brave men and women serving our nation in the United States Armed Forces.
Headlined by Army Green Beret Tim Kennedy and featuring armed forces veterans Liz Carmouche and Colton Smith, the fights will be attended by thousands of soldiers from Fort Campbell, home to the only Air Assault Division in the world, the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
Squaring off against Kennedy in the main event will be former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida

To date the UFC has hosted two UFC Fight For The Troop events (2008 and 2011) that helped raise $4 million for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and The National Intrepid Center of Excellence, an advanced research facility in Bethesda, MD dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health issues.
