Every year, many companies show their appreciation for our military heroes and their families by offering them discounts on their products, services, and experiences. Here’s a look at some of the best deals out there for our military service members and their families in 2019.
When it comes to apparel, many big brands offer some great discounts for the military community. Columbia is a great example which offers a 15% off year-round discount for active duty, veterans and their families. Nike offers 10% off all online purchases, while the Banana Republic/Gap/Old Navy group all offer 10% off on the 1st of each month. Kohl’s offers 15% off every Monday, while L.L. Bean, Tommy Hilfiger, and Express each have discounts at all times. Timberland, Tommy John, Foot Locker and Cole Haan offer some of the best deals, with between 15 and 20% off at all times.
From BMW to Hyundai, there are discounts on a range of vehicles. BMW, Infiniti, and General Motors all offer unspecified discounts on varied purchases and leases. Harley Davidson offers the same, but also offers discounts on motorcycle storage and free shipping to AFO, FPO, and DPO addresses. Subaru, Volkswagen, Mazda, Hyundai and Jeep all offer $500 discounts in varied capacities while Nissan offers up to $1,000 off purchases and leases.
For the home, there are options that range from all-encompassing stores to more specific destinations. Home Depot has one of the most consistent discounts: 10% off, all the time. Lowe’s also offers 10% off select purchases. Home goods stores Pier 1 Imports, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma offer discounts on in-store purchases, as does craft store Michael’s. Sherman-Williams provides 15% off paints, stains, and paint supplies.
Next we have the travel discounts with deals on transportation, accommodations and destinations. Greyhound and Amtrack both offer 10% off ticket purchases. United, Delta and JetBlue offer discounts on airfare as well as special benefits for military personnel. Hilton and Marriott hotels each offer their own discounted rates on stays. Motel 6 offers up to 10% off while Wyndham offers the most impressive deal on lodging, offering 15% off their best available rates. Cruise lines also get in on the action with Carnival Cruise Lines offering discounted fares, free upgrades, and reduced deposits. Princess Cruises provides up to $250 onboard spending money. Disney Cruises also offer discounts, as do Disney World and Disneyland. Universal Studios also offers discounts at both Orlando and Hollywood parks. Six Flags provides 20% off 1-day general admission tickets.
