Texas Governor Rick Perry will join military leaders, including Lieutenant General Mark A. Milley, Commanding General, III Corps and Fort Hood, wounded warriors, and their families and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) to break ground on a new $11 million Intrepid Spirit Center on Thursday, June 12 from 2p.m. to 3p.m. CST at Fort Hood, TX. When completed, the Intrepid Spirit Center will provide crucial treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) to American military heroes.

Fort Hood is the largest active duty armored post in the United States Armed Services. It covers a total of 340-square miles and supports multiple units, a corps headquarters and a robust mobilization mission. Fort Hood also meets the training and support requirements for many smaller units and organizations, thus maintaining a vital defense force for the United States of America.

Thousands of wounded and injured service members who suffer from TBI and PTS incurred in Iraq, Afghanistan or at the home duty station will have access to the diagnosis and treatment they need at the Intrepid Spirit Center.
