Freedom is dear to the hearts of Americans. Our history is wrapped in our military members fighting courageously for our everyday rights, and that fight still continues each day, all over the world. Those at the forefront of these battles are the brave men and women of our armed forces. They each serve our nation with the utmost strength, and should be commended for their daily sacrifice. One of the most important (and simple) ways to honor the service of a soldier is to help provide each of them with basic, necessary medical care.
Proper medical treatment of our nation’s service members is an extremely high priority. As our heroes return from overseas, we tend to focus only on the immediate joy of our loved ones returning from deployment. Unfortunately, these celebrations can deter us from seeing some underlying health issues in our service members, such as Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
In the midst of our joy, we must not overlook these types of medical conditions. The mission of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is to provide service members who experience the invisible wounds of PTS and TBI the proper care and treatment to heal from these injuries.
A donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, no matter how large or small, goes directly towards building centers that treat PTS and TBI. Each of these centers are named Intrepid Spirit and are satellite centers of the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE). These centers are at the forefront of medical advancements and research to help treat these specific types of invisible wounds.
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund would like to wish you all a wonderful day of celebration in honor of our great country. We ask that you take the time to thank a service member today. If you can help support those who have protected all of us, we also ask that you consider a donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. These brave men and women have taken care of us, and now it’s time for us to take care of them.
