Employee Spotlight – Lisa Yaconiello

In this Employee Spotlight series, we want you to meet, our Vice President, Lisa Yaconiello. Lisa has been with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund since 2003! Growing up listening to stories about her father’s Army service, and both of her grandfather’s service in the Marines and Navy makes her especially proud to support the military. Working with a group of very dedicated co-workers is one of her favorite things about the job. Over the years getting to talk to those who have benefitted from IFHF and their families and how we in some way have changed their lives definitely makes it all worth it!

Lisa has had the unique honor of working with IFHF since it became a 501(c)(3) in 2003. After college, she worked as a nanny for Anne and Tony Fisher who at the time was the Chairman of the Fisher House Foundation and the Intrepid Museum. With a desire to get into the world of event planning, Tony suggested that she start volunteering at the Intrepid Museum. Which she did! After his sudden and tragic passing, Lisa has always felt that she is helping to carry on his legacy through her work at the museum and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Outside of work, Lisa has developed a love for photography! She’s also quite the traveler (even though she hates to fly!) and has a goal of visiting all seven continents. The only ones left on her list are Antarctica and Asia. We hope she gets to travel to those soon and takes plenty of pictures!
