Center for the Intrepid

In January 2007, IFHF completed construction of the Center for the Intrepid, a $55 million, world-class, state-of-the-art physical rehabilitation center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Center for the Intrepid serves military personnel suffering amputations, limb trauma, and severe burns received in service. Most of the service members treated served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The 60,000 square-foot facility offers advanced rehabilitation equipment and specialists that apply the most proven techniques available to treat these severely injured heroes in uniform. Revolutionary therapies have been developed at the center, and several thousand service members have received high quality, compassionate care.
