2015 In Review with IFHF President Dave Winters
2015 saw wonderful achievements for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and our efforts to support American military personnel suffering the effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI), and their families. We broke ground on our sixth Intrepid Spirit Center, at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, which will join our network of centers providing the best possible care for wounded heroes suffering the effects of TBI. We joined in celebrating the fifth anniversary of the opening of the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, the centerpiece facility for research, diagnosis and treatment for TBI afflicting our wounded heroes in uniform.
IFHF's First Giving Tuesday on December 1
Our country's service members are the brave siblings, spouses, friends, parents, etc. who valiantly fought for our freedom, and returned home suffering from the invisible wounds of war. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund's goal is to provide those service members with the care they need to overcome traumatic brain injury and psychological health conditions. Supporting these heroes helps repay the debt all Americans owe them for the sacrifices they have made in service to our nation.

Hope for victims of brain injury and PTSD is right in front of us
Every American knows that our greatest national debt is not to holders of our government bonds but to those who have faced fire on freedom’s front – members and veterans of our military. On Veterans’ Day last week the nation honored the sacrifices our men and women in uniform have made over the centuries to preserve our freedoms. Both in history and today those sacrifices include living with the wounds of combat, wounds like lost limbs that all can see and others locked inside the injured patriot’s head.
